TV Review: LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE (Season 1)

**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**

This quarantine has left many of us at home looking for the next series to watch. A great series that I found is Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu, which contains some familiar faces, including Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. I first tuned into the series because my favorite actor, Jesse Williams of Grey's Anatomy fame, had a small role in it.  However, I kept watching because of the intelligent dialogue and important social issues it discusses, such as motherhood, racism, premarital sex, and abortion, among others.

TV Review: ROSEANNE - Season 10 (Episodes 1-5)

If you came of age in the 90's, then you'll probably remember a little show called Roseanne. It ran for nine seasons from 1988 to 1997, which were my adolescent years.  It told the story of a working-class family with three kids, not unlike my own family or my friends'.  They had their ups and downs, but in the end, it was all about family.

Lenny Belardo (Jude Law) is American, he is in his early 50s and he has just been, with much surprise, elected Pope Pius the 13th, which makes for two records: youngest pope in a centuries and the first American one. In the Vatican there is much anticipation for what this new mysterious Pope is going to do and when his first decision is to not ever appear in public or be photographed in anyway, the Church starts to realize it will have to deal with a Pope that does not bend to anyone.

In an undefined future, a park has been created called Westworld, populated by artificial beings called hosts. They resemble humans in every possible way. They are made with blood and bones and are programmed for interaction with the humans who visit the park, called guests, for a whopping $40,000 a day. Based on the homonymous 1973 film by Michael Cricthon, Westworld takes the original idea to a whole new level with a sophistication and complexity worthy of a Nolan brother.

TV Review: STRANGER THINGS (Review #2)

We are in the 80s, in the small American town of Hawking, when Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) mysteriously disappears. In the meantime a little girl (Millie Bobby Brown) without a name is found by Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard). All of these events seem to be connected and what starts as a simple missing person case slowly evolves into creating a chain of events that will find Hawking's police chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) joining forces with Will's mother Joyce (Winona Ryder) to uncover what is really going on.

Web Series Review: STRINGS

Strings is a brand new horror/suspense style web series playing for free on YouTube. The very first, six minute, episode titled "Waking Up" premiered on August 15th, 2016. This episode sets the stage for the things to come for a band of random, kidnapped teenagers who have been drugged, hooded and dumped into a room that has no apparent way out. While you would think, "how can they do much in the way of pulling an audience in to keep them coming back for more?", a lot happens in that first episode. Tension, drama and terror; it’s all found in in this first episode, with more scares promised as Strings continues along. The first season of Strings will contain ten episodes and will wrap up on September 15th.

TV Review: LOVE - Season 1

Created by Paul Rust, Lesley Arfin and Judd Apatow, Love is a Netflix Original romantic comedy series that is way less pretentious and quirky than its title suggests. After a very bad day Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) meets Gus (Paul Rust) at their local grocery store after he paid her coffee, as she had no money with her. Love tells the story of the two of them trying to figure out their very messy lives whilst feeling a connection for each other after that first quirky, yet sweet day together.

TV Review - GAME OF THRONES - Season 6

I don't think Game of Thrones needs any introduction as it's in its sixth season and if you're reading this and feel like it does need one, then stop right now, this review will be SPOILER HEAVY and I suggest for you to watch this universally loved and acclaimed show.
