Side By Side: A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS vs. DADDY’S HOME 2

Welcome to another installment of SIDE BY SIDE, where we dissect the differences and similarities between two films, be it a remake/reboot with its original, a sequel with its original, or two similar movies. This week we will be comparing two 2017 holiday sequels, A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS and DADDY'S HOME 2.  Enjoy!

Last November was the season for Christmas-themed comedy sequels as both Bad Moms and Daddy’s Home managed to garner follow ups in a similar vein to one another.  Tell me what movie I’m describing:  Our main characters are getting ready for a joyous Christmas with their families, when – surprise, surprise – their parents decide to show up and throw everything into an upheaval.

Movie Review: BAD MOMS (Review #2)

Movie Review: BAD MOMS

I'm a total sucker for comedies.  If it looks even remotely funny, I'll usually check it out, for better or for worse.  Sometimes it works out (like with 21 Jump Street), and other times it leaves me extremely disappointed (can anyone say Movie 43?), but that is the curse of loving comedy.  I'm the same way with horror.  So when I saw the trailers for Bad Moms, I got pretty excited because they really made me laugh, and I was right.  This movie was hilarious.  I found myself laughing pretty hard at several spots throughout.
