89th Annual Academy Awards: The Winners

Hey everyone!  Last night we saw the 89th Annual Academy Awards as they recognized the best and brightest in the world of film for 2016.  This will run down our predictions and all the winners for the night's festivities.  Check out the winner below and drop a comment with how your predictions compared!

Movie Review: FENCES

Fences is the third directorial effort by acclaimed actor Denzel Washington and is an adaptation of the August Wilson play of the same name. The film stars Washington alongside Viola Davis, Stephen Henderson, Jovan Adepo, Russsell Hornsby, and Mykelti Williamson. Washington and Davis have famously performed this play on stage prior to making this film. Overall, I found that this film was wholly built around two superb performances but was otherwise an extremely mediocre film as a whole.

Movie Review: SUICIDE SQUAD

I had the opportunity to see an advanced screening of this highly anticipated movie about a group of iconic DC Comics villains played by an impressive array of big name talent. They are touted as the most dangerous supervillains in the world and all are being held in a super-maximum prison. That is until one, high up the food chain government official named Amanda Waller gets the bright idea to assemble them into a team to fight against supervillains even more dangerous than this ‘Suicide Squad’ is.  The team, is of course kept in check by explosive devices that have been implanted in their necks and can be remotely detonated. The team leader is a tough as nails military guy named Rick Flagg.
