If
you have followed the world of martial arts films and actors, then you are
familiar with the legendary Don 'The Dragon' Wilson. He is an American
11-time professional kickboxing world champion who scored 47 knockouts
in four decades and is listed as a European Martial Arts Hall of Famer. Wilson
is described as "Perhaps the greatest kickboxer in American history”. Don
‘The Dragon’ Wilson is also known as an action star with more than two dozen
films to his credit. One of his latest films is Paying Mr.
McGetty, a Film Festival award-winning, action-packed comedy from
director Michael Baumgarten (The Martial Arts Kid) and Traditionz
Entertainment. I recently had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Don
'The Dragon' Wilson about his role as the enforcer Shota Kabu.

Movie Review: A DOGGONE HOLLYWOOD
A Doggone Hollywood is truly a family movie that everyone can enjoy. Like A Doggone Christmas, this movie centers around a telepathic dog named Murphy and even though it has many of the same actors and actresses as in the first Doggone movie, everyone is playing different characters in different situations.

Trailer Review: PUPPET MASTER: AXIS TERMINATION
I have been addicted to Full Moon Productions' Puppet Master movies since the beginning of the franchise. Andre Toulon’s living puppets have become like old friends to me. Now, my old friends have a new installment and a new addition to the franchise, one of my favorite actors; action star Paul Logan.

EDITORIAL: Hollywood’s Other Glass Ceiling
There has been a lot of discussion in social media and news stories concerning the inequality in pay between men and women. It’s part of what’s known as the 'glass ceiling’. The issue has been affecting actresses in the entertainment industry at all levels for years.
In an August 2016 article in the Washington Post, the author stated that the top ten highest paid actresses in Hollywood still made less than half of what the top actors earned. While this is a hot topic of discussion that gets media and audience attention, there is another ‘Glass Ceiling’ in Hollywood movie making that rarely gets any kind of attention. Just like the one that does get attention, this other ‘Glass Ceiling’ has been created and controlled by money.

Family Movie Night: A DOGGONE CHRISTMAS
Welcome to a new installment of FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT, where we give our recommendation on a family-friendly movie to enjoy. This week we look at a new entry into the Christmas family movie fare, 2016's A DOGGONE CHRISTMAS.
Yes, I’m keeping my Family Movie Night review in the Christmas theme we have going on here at Merc With A Movie Blog. Even though this movie is about Christmas and how magical things can happen around that time of year, it also has the values that go into it for all year long. Your first inkling that this is a movie for kids of all ages - from one to ninety-two as the song goes - is when you see that the big-name star of the movie is a dog.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Action Star Paul Logan Talks About Writing & Starring in THE HORDE
In THE HORDE, action star Paul Logan plays John Crenshaw an ex-NAVY SEAL who accompanies his girlfriend and her students on a weekend nature-photography expedition deep into the woods. What should be an educational, fun-filled weekend turns into horror as the group is besieged by an unspeakable evil - a horde of hideously disfigured, mutated humans with an insatiable taste for blood. As things go from bad to much worse, Crenshaw becomes their only hope if they are going to get out alive.
Merc With A Movie Blog recently caught up with Paul Logan, the writer and star of THE HORDE to ask him about the creative processes that went into making this exciting horror/action movie.
