Ethan and his team are back, and this time they are hunting down a mysterious terror organization called The Syndicate. Does that name sound familiar? Well it should, as that was the mission given to Ethan at the end of Ghost Protocol. This marks the first time a Mission: Impossible film leads in directly from the previous film, and it's about time. It’s a true connecting point, and as you see throughout Rogue Nation, the events of Ghost Protocol weigh in heavily here, and that is one of the many things that make this such a great film.

Movie Review: MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL (2011)
In 2006, audiences thought they had seen the last
of Ethan Hunt, but little did they know that just five years later a new
mission would begin that would change this franchise forever. Mission:
Impossible: Ghost Protocol was a shot in the arm for this seemingly dead
franchise, and much like with Fast & Furious, this fourth installment has
brought with it a new found life and a series of fantastic sequels.

Movie Review: ARRIVAL
Professor Louise Banks (Amy Adams) is one of the most brilliant
linguists in the world. When aliens start appearing on the Earth in
twelve random places she is tasked by the US Government to enter start
communicating with them and eventually interpret their language.
Arrival is one of the best motion pictures of recent times and continues to strike on the trend of very good and scientifically inspired sci-fi films we have had in recent times with Gravity, Interstellar, and The Martian. This films adds to that very good pantheon of modern Sci-Fi and it just might be one of the best we've had yet.

Movie Review: ARRIVAL
Welcome back to this mini-series
of reviews of the feature films* of revered filmmaker Denis Villeneuve with his
latest film Arrival. Arrival is a science-fiction film that
follows the story of a linguist who is recruited by the military following the
arrival of alien spacecraft around the world to try and learn to communicate
with them and find out why they are here. It is a deeply cerebral
science-fiction story and not action packed as one might expect. The film is
obviously directed by Denis Villeneuve and stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest
Whitaker.

London Film Festival: ARRIVAL
As the London Film Festival continues, I have gotten the chance to see several great films, and this one is no different. Arrival is a true futuristic sci-fi classic with a great twist, and a potentially career defining role for Amy Adams.
