The Oscars 2018 - LIST OF WINNERS

The 90th Annual Academy Awards took place last night (Sunday, Mar. 4th) with lots of great films scoring wins, including my favorite of all the Best Picture noms, The Shape of Water, which took home four trophies.

This year's Oscar ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, honored the best films of 2017 and took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on March 4, 2018. During the ceremony, The Academy presented awards in 24 categories (listed below). The ceremony, televised in the United States by ABC, was once again hosted by television host Jimmy Kimmel and aired at 8 p.m. ET, with the red carpet event starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Kimmel killed it this year.  This was probably the best Oscars in several years, with funny jokes, great musical performances, topical commentary, and much more.  So, if you didn't get a chance to watch the event, I highly recommend checking it out.

EDITORIAL: Who Should Host The Oscars?

We are now less than three months away from the 89th Annual Academy Awards! The race has begun and films like La La Land, Moonlight, Manchester By The SeaSilence and so many more are campaigning in full force.

The National Board of Review just named the aforementioned Manchester By The Sea as the best film of the year (and it is pretty freaking great), The New York Film Critics Circle named La La Land their best film of the year, and Moonlight won the Gotham award for best film of the year, so the race is pretty open right now. But I'm not here to talk about the race, and to predict what film will win what. I love predicting the Oscar winners and nominees, I do it all the time, but the most interesting aspect of the 89th Annual academy awards, is who will take on the challenge of host?
