The newest trailer for Fox's next installment in the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse, has hit the web, and it is a great trailer. Check it out:
This trailer gives us a much wider sense of the plot for this film, delving into the origins of Apocalypse, the formation of his Four Horsemen, and the epic battle that will take place. One of my favorite parts of the trailer is seeing En Sabah Nur become Apocalypse. I'm really hoping they don't just gloss over it all in the film, because I'd like to spend some time in ancient Egypt and see what he was like at the beginning.
We got great shots of all the characters, old and new, and seeing Magneto and Professor X together was wonderful, as always. It's also nice to see Mystique in her natural form more, as that was lacking in previous trailers. And Oscar Isaac is gong to be amazing in his role as Apocalypse.
This trailer gives you the feeling that this film will be an epic, life-altering event for the X-Men, one that will change the landscape for them going forward. I am super excited for this film, much more so than I was before.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
