Michael Bay To Direct 'Transformers 5'; Krang Set To Appear In 'TMNT 2'


For months, the rumor that Michael Bay would be directing the next installment of the Transformers franchise has run rampant across the Internet, causing a bit of an uproar.  Well Internet, prepare to blow your tops, because it's now been officially confirmed.

During an interview with Rolling Stone magazine about his new film, 13 Hours, Michael Bay confirmed that he will be directing the next Transformers film, saying "I'm doing Transformers...5, is it?"
He also confirmed, while talking about being in post-production on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, that the villain Krang will be featured in the new film.

The previous Transformers film, Transformers: Age of Extinction, grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles grossed almost $500 million worldwide.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is scheduled to hit theaters on June 3, 2016
Transformers 5, which is currently in pre-production, is set for release during the Summer of 2017.
