Movie Review: NERVE (2016)

When I first got the invite to go check out a screening of Nerve, I was pumped.  I really dug the trailers that I had seen and the premise sounded really cool.  Plus, I love Dave Franco as an actor, so that was an added bonus.  I wasn't really sure what to expect from this film because it seemed like one of those that would either be really entertaining, or really disappointing, and luckily for me it was the former.

This was a pretty light week, with no really big trailers coming out.  We got to see the first look at Paul Rudd's new film, The Fundamentals of Caring, which looks pretty good.  We also got some new footage in the trailer for the Ultimate Edition release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, a teaser for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, the first trailer for the oddly fun looking Monster Trucks, and the trailer for Nicholas Hoult's new film, Collide.

This week was packed full of good first trailers for films I definitely want to see, from the highly anticipated video game adaptation,  Assassin's Creed, to new horror films like The Woods and Don't Breath.  We also got our first looks at Ben Affleck's new film, The Accountant, and Kevin Smith's Tusk follow-up, Yoga Hosers.  And don't forget about the beautiful third trailer for a film that simply looks amazing, The BFG.
