89th Academy Awards Nominations


Nominations for the 89th Annual Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning with lots of great films scoring nominations.  Moonlight managed to grab 8 nominations, while La La Land scored a whopping 14 nominations, both of which are up for Best Picture.

This year's Oscar ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films of 2016 and will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on February 26, 2017. During the ceremony, The Academy will present awards in 24 categories (listed below). The ceremony, televised in the United States by ABC, will be hosted by television host Jimmy Kimmel and will air at 7 p.m. ET, so make sure to join us for this star-studded event, and check us out on Twitter where we will be live tweeting the whole night.

Movie Review: HELL OR HIGH WATER


Tanner (Ben Foster) and Toby (Chris Pine) Howard are two brothers, the first an ex-con, the other a recent divorcée, who go on a bank robbing frenzy in the landscape of small town Texas. When ranger Marcus Hamilton (Jeff Bridges) is charged with chasing them down, he and his partner Alberto (Gil Birmingham) find they're having a harder time catching these cons than they expected.
