Welcome to week 9 of Merc With A Movie Blog's SUMMER FILM CHALLENGE!!! This week saw the release of three new films: this third installment of the highly popular Despicable Me franchise, the new Will Ferrell/Amy Poehler comedy The House, and one of my favorite films of the year, Edgar Wright's latest film, Baby Driver.
Things continue to heat up this week, as Geeks + Gamers' very own (and former Merc) Jonathan Youngblood closes in on Ryan McKenna taking last week's 15 point gap down to a mere 5 point gap, with Ryan at 48 points and Jonathan at 43 points, and The Merc following up the rear with 37 points. But with Spider-Man: Homecoming hitting theaters this coming week, there's sure to be a shake up yet again.
