Trailer Review: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (Official Teaser #1)

James Gunn and Marvel have released the brand new trailer of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2! And of course... It is awesome! Check it out here!

Let's begin with Baby Groot, the MVP of this trailer, and by far my most anticipated part of this highly anticipated Marvel sequel! The bit between him and Rocket with the bomb was cute, funny, and endearing. I loved every moment of it. I also loved every moment of the trailer overall!

The action looks incredible, the cinematography looks surprisingly stunning, and the stinger at the end, what a way to end a trailer! That scene, where the character of, who I assume to be Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff, feels Star-Lord's arm and can see his feelings for Gamora, and then he tries to act cool and play it off, but then Drax totally cracks up! It is hilarious! I am sure this swill end up being one of the funniest scenes in the MCU.

I am also impressed that the trailer manages to give us everything we want out of Guardians of the Galaxy trailer: a kick ass 70s rock song (this time, the trailer is set to "Fox On The Run" by 70s Glam Rock group, Sweet ), gorgeous VFX, one liners, etc. But, it gives us all of that without giving away many/any story beats.

Sure, we could speculate, but the trailer is great enough that I am sure audiences will be just as sold on the movie as I am once they catch this trailer online or in theatres with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which opens in under two weeks (SQUEALS)!

Am I a little bummed that we didn't see any Kurt Russell, sure, but that also makes the time when we do finally see him as Ego The Living Planet that much more special!
