THE WASP CONFIRMED FOR AVENGERS 4

While we've enjoyed seeing Ant-Man appear across the MCU, it's been a mystery as to whether or not we will see his love interest, and eventual partner, Hope Van Dyne pop up in any other films. They will both star in Ant-Man And The Wasp in 2018, but Hope hasn't been confirmed to appear anywhere else.  Until now.
The folks over at blastr had a chance to speak with Evangeline about Hope Van Dyne's future, and the actress let on a little more than expected. After talking about The Wasp getting her origin story in Ant-Man And The Wasp, she revealed her involvement with the Avengers franchise. This is what she had to say regarding Hope's role beyond the Ant-Man sequel:

"Following that one, there's an 'Avengers' series coming out, its a two-parter. The Wasp won't be in the first part, she'll be in the second part, because they really want to preserve that reveal for 'Ant-Man And The Wasp'."

The next Avengers film will release on May 4, 2018, just before Ant-Man And The Wasp is released (July 6, 2018). Then, Avengers currently untitled fourth installment will hit theaters on May 3, 2019, giving The Wasp a chance to develop on her own before being thrown into the Avengers.

BAD MOMS GETTING SPINOFF, TITLED BAD DADS

The hit comedy Bad Moms is getting a spinoff tentatively titled Bad Dads, which will be arriving in theaters on July 14, 2017.

Bad Moms — made on a $20 million budget — debuted at No. 3 with a healthy $23.8 million in July, and has since gone on to gross an impressive $112.9 million domestically and $175.4 million worldwide. The comedy, written and directed by The Hangover helmers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, features Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn as the titular mothers. Jada Pinkett Smith, Christina Applegate, and Annie Mumolo also star.

In addition to Bad Dads, Bad Moms is also inspiring a reality television series and short form digital content. The male-driven spinoff’s cast has not yet been announced.

X-23 CONFIRMED FOR THIRD WOLVERINE FILM, LOGAN

Hot off the reveal of Boyd Holbrook playing Donald Pierce in Logan, we have confirmation of two major characters that are set to appear in the film.

According to Omega Underground, the third Wolverine movie, titled Logan, will feature the live-action cinematic debut of the mutant known as X-23, as previously rumored. She’ll be played by Sienna Novikov in the film — whose hand you can actually see holding the titular mutant’s on the first Logan teaser poster. In the film, she’ll be referred to as Laura. Check out the poster below:

The Wolverine clone first appeared on the X-Men: Evolution animated series, before becoming a major player in the comics. Currently, X-23 carries the mantle of Wolverine in her own series from Marvel Comics.

According to TheWrap, Logan follows, "a government-type operation called 'Transigen' that is turning mutant children into killing machines. Jackman ends up mentoring the girl, who has two claws instead of his three."

The site notes that Richard E. Grant’s character in the film is Dr. Zander Rice, a character from the comics who worked on recreating the Weapon X project.

Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant and Stephen Merchant, Logan arrives in theaters on March 3, 2017.

FIRST LOOK AT AMBER HEARD AS MERA IN JUSTICE LEAGUE

Production on Justice League has officially wrapped in the UK and moved to the cold waters of Iceland, where photography appears to be filming the above-water scenes for Aquaman’s hometown of Amnesty Bay. Now, the studio has released (via IGN) the first look at actress Amber Heard as Aquaman’s wife and queen, Mera! Check out the photo below:

Here's the Justice League synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will be reprising their roles as the DC Trinity, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.‘ Justice League, and joining them are Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. Heard will debut in this film before moving to the solo Aquaman movie in 2018.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League will debut in theaters on November 10, 2017.

UNRATED EVIL DEAD ARRIVES JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN

Fede Alvarez’s 2013 remake of Evil Dead will be getting an “Unrated Edition” to be released on October 25th, just in time for Halloween.

Being released solely on digital platforms, the new Unrated Edition carries an additional 5-minutes of footage "that was too intense for theaters, allowing fans the perfect chance to see Fede Alvarez’s unedited vision for the film." This will also be the first time that digital extras will be available on Evil Dead.

Jane Levy, who also starred in Don’t Breathe, took on Deadites in Evil Dead. The modern take followed five friends who head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods.

J.K. ROWLING ANNOUNCES FIVE MORE FILMS IN THE HARRY POTTER UNIVERSE

Warner Bros. has just confirmed that J.K. Rowling will continue the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them through five more feature films.

The film announced the new movies on Twitter.

Fantastic Beasts was already set to receive two additional sequels, which were scheduled for November 16, 2018 and November 20, 2020 respectively, but that has now been extended to five films, which will most likely keep the same every two years tracking. Even though the original film doesn't release until later this year, the studio is quite confident in the franchise. With the rousing success of the recent "Cursed Child" play, they know the audience is always hungry for more Harry Potter.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter blockbusters. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident...were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them hits theaters on November 18, 2016.

WARNER BROS. ANNOUNCES TWO UNTITLED EVENT FILMS FOR 2019 AND 2020

Warner Bros. just announced two untitled event films set to release in 2019 and 2020. We can basically assume that these two films will most likely be DC movies.

The first film is slated for September 27, 2019 and the second for February 7, 2020 as seen in the tweet below:

The current Warner Bros. film release schedule for DC movies is as follows:

Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017, Aquaman on July 27, 2018, The Flash on March 16, 2018, an untitled DC Film on October 5, 2018,  Shazam on April 5, 2019, Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019, an untitled DC film on November 1, 2019, Cyborg on April 3, 2020, and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020.

That leaves The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 without official release dates.
