Movie trailers are meant to draw in an audience for feature films, and the trailer for Fifty Shades Darker definitely does that for me. I've been looking forward to this movie since I saw Fifty Shades of Grey last year. Check out trailer below:
After watching the trailer for Fifty Shades Darker, I have to say, it was visually alluring. The undeniable chemistry between Anna and Christian is still there, and Christian is trying to win her back. But, it seems he's still keeping secrets. The masquerade ball at first showed Anna and Christian happy and in love. However a new rival seems to emerge wearing a mask. She bears a striking resemblance to Kim Basinger. Is this the older woman from Christian's past? That remains to be seen.
A mysterious brunette appears out of nowhere and says, "Do you think you were the only one who tried to save him?" After hearing this, I wanted to know more. Guess I'll have to watch the movie to find out who she is.
My favorite part of the trailer was seeing Kim Basinger at the masquerade ball. Her presence gives the storyline more depth. However, on the flip side, I didn't particularly care for the part where it insinuated that Anna was being followed. But, I guess they can't live happily ever after quite yet. So, do yourself a favor and slip into something a shade darker this Valentine's Day. I know I will.
Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters on February 10, 2017.
