Trailer Review: CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Trailer #2

The newest trailer for Captain America: Civil War has hit the web (see what I did there), and it was pretty awesome.  Check it out:

As you can see, we got tons of new footage and a better sense of the overall plot with this trailer.  There are some amazing action sequences not seen before, such as the fight between Cap and Crossbones and cool scene where Scarlet Witch takes down The Vision.

Bringing back General Ross in an attempt to reign in the heroes was a nice touch, though hearing Tony say that they need to be put in check and the way he talks to Steve makes him sound like someone who no long wants the responsibility of being a hero.  I get that a lot was destroyed, but I didn't see anyone else stepping in to stop the Chitari, or taking down Hydra.

I am interested in finding out what brings Black Panther into this fight, and why he chooses to side with Iron Man.  And speaking of people siding with Iron Man, it's well know from previous footage and posters that Black Widow is on Tony's side during the big fight, but a scene in this trailer makes is seem like she's on the opposite side, so I can't wait to see why she goes over to his side in the end.

The biggest surprise of the trailer is the much anticipated first appearance of Tom Holland's Spider-Man.  He pops up right at the end, as Tony is getting irritated with this fight.  He yells out "UNDEROOS" and then in jumps Spider-Man, webbing Cap's hands and taking his shield.  He looks up and says "Hey Everyone."

I enjoyed seeing him there, but honestly, it felt a little out of place with the tone of the trailer.  I'm excited to see what he will bring to the MCU and what they'll do with him moving forward.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
