Trailer Review: KONG: SKULL ISLAND (Trailer #2)

Howdy fellow film freaks, Robert here. The new trailer for Kong: Skull Island is here, and the good folks at Legendary Pictures (the company behind every special effects movie worth seeing for the last few years), are doing the big ape up right, from the look of things. Check out the trailer below.

Now, if your first question is "Wait, didn't Kong die at the end of the last movie?", congratulations! You've been paying attention. This movie is ignoring that one, and instead serves as another piece in a new cinematic universe, which began with 2014's Godzilla and will continue in the upcoming Godzilla vs. King Kong in 2020, which should be suitably epic.

The plot of this movie involves a group of scientists including Tom Hiddleston, John Goodman and Samuel L. Jackson, going to Skull Island to conduct research of some type or other. As things like this usually go, the group gets more than they bargained for. Not only is Skull Island home to the Eighth Wonder of the World, but there are also some lizardy-looking beasties that will likely challenge Kong for dominance.

Anything Legendary Pictures makes gets my vote. I enjoyed Godzilla; I expect I'll enjoy this one too.

Kong: Skull Island debuts March 10, 2017.
