Kevin Smith's 'Yoga Hosers' And Rob Zombie's '31' Set To Debut At Sundance Film Featival

During the Midnight portion of next month's Sundance Film Festival, nine films will have their world premiere.  Of those nine include Kevin Smith's Yoga Hosers and Rob Zombie's 31.

Yoga Hosers will be the second film in what Smith calls his "True North Trilogy", following Tusk, and is described by the Sundance Film Festival as such:
Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie are teenage besties from Winnipeg who love yoga and live on their smartphones. But when these sophomores get invited to a senior party by the school hottie, the Colleens accidentally uncover an ancient evil buried beneath their Canadian convenience store.
The Colleens are portrayed by Lily-Rose Depp and Harley Quinn Smith, the daughters of Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith.  Depp himself appears in the film, reprising his Tusk role as Montreal man-hunter Guy LaPointe.  They will be joined by many of the actors from the 2014 horror flick such as Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and more, who will all be playing new roles in the spinoff.  The third film in the "True North Trilogy" will be titled Moose Jaws and is described by Smith as "Jaws with a moose".  It is expected to begin shooting next year.
In addition to the "True North Trilogy", Smith also revealed this year that he's working on a sequel to Mallrats as well as a third Clerks film.

Zombie's horror film 31 finds five friends kidnapped on the day before Halloween and held hostage in place known as "Murder World", where they are forced to play a violent game called 31, in which they must survive 12 hours against a gang of evil, killer clowns.  The cast includes Sheri Moon Zombie, Malcolm McDowell, Richard Brake, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Jeff Daniel Phillips and Meg Foster.  31 is Zombie's first fiction film since his 2013 horror film The Lords of Salem and is the very first time he will debut a film at Sundance.

The Sundance Film Festival is set to take place January 21-31, 2016 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
